Christian Nodal in conjunction with Ángela Aguilar have formally premiered as a pair in song. The prior night (June 11), they shared their inaugural public embrace and kiss during their duet at Nodal’s concert in Mexico City.
Following the news of Nodal’s breakup with Cazzu—the mother of his child Inti—roughly two weeks earlier, he revealed his new love interest. Nodal and Aguilar, both connoisseurs of Mexican regional music, declared their mutual fondness. While acknowledging their relationship, they emphasized that their romance blossomed after Nodal ended things with Cazzu.
On the previous night, Nodal made his first stage appearance since confirming his romantic ties with Aguilar, presenting a show at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. Catching the audience off guard, Nodal introduced Aguilar as his special guest. The duo enchanted the crowd with “Por Mujeres Como Tú,” a song originally by Aguilar’s father, Pepe Aguilar. Following the gesture of placing his hat on Aguilar’s head, Nodal declared, “I adore you.”
Moreover, Nodal and Aguilar delivered a rendition of “Dime Cómo Quieres,” the tune that sparked their romantic chemistry, originally released as a duet in 2020 when Aguilar was 17 and Nodal 21. With their relationship now in the open, Nodal and Aguilar accentuated their sustained camaraderie after their joint effort. Before their performance at the Auditorio Nacional, Nodal teasingly asked, “Why are you playing the flirt, my love?” Aguilar playfully answered, “Because you’re my darling, Christian!” Their performance culminated with each bestowing kisses upon the other under the public’s watchful eye for the very first time.
Earlier that week, Nodal asserted via a recorded message that there had been no overlap between his affair with Aguilar and his previous entanglement with Cazzu. He expressed that his former partnership had run its course and that his romantic journey with Aguilar began subsequent to their separation. On the following day, June 13, Aguilar is slated to unveil her first single post-affair announcement with Nodal, entitled “Gotitas Saladas.”
